Semiosalong is a lecture series on Semiotics, introducing the tools of the Semiotic analysis method through a wide range of topics. This season differs from the previous cycles in its scope - the Semiosalong spring 2013 season constitutes of 13 lectures in 3 cities: Tartu, Tallinn, and Viljandi, each held by a different Semiotician, Artist or an Expert of some other field.
The objective of expanding the series across Estonia is to encourage semiotic discussions in other academic centers of Estonia in addition to Tartu, and promote academic circulation of knowledge in general.
Semiosalong is held in a laid back, yet intellectual environment, studying topics that are not discussed in regular lectures. The aim of Semiosalong is to introduce the practicality of Semiotics to those not familiar with the discipline, and to celebrate its awesomeness to those who are.
